The Toshiba Thrive
The new toshiba thrive tablet, which just released on july 10th is a great tablet pc.
The screen resolution is 1200 x 800 (higher than the iPad's 1024 x 768 res.). The screen is 10.1 inches diagonally. The tablet has a usb 2.0 port, a mini usb port, an hdmi port. It also has a card reader (sd card reader) and has expandable memory upto 32GB.
It has the following system specs :
1ghz. NVidia tegra dual core processor
1 GB DDR2 RAM
Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS
It also runs a Google word processor. One of the best features though is the user replaceable battery.
The 8GB version can be bought for $429 (but this can be expanded via sd card upto 40 GB total).

The Adam Tablet
The "Adam" is an amazing new technology that is coming out in June. It is a great tablet PC which is much better than the iPad. It is currently under development by a Bangalore based firm called Notion Inc. The Adam has some great features :
- a 10 inch screen (1024 x 600)
- it can run Android, Ubuntu, and Chromium operating systems.
- it has an nVidia Tegra 2 dual core processor(1 GHz).
- it can run Firefox and Chrome browsers.
- it has 1 HDMI output and 3 USB outputs
- its video output is 1080p (better than the iPad's 720p)
- One of the best things about it: it has a 3 MP camera with auto-focus
- its battery life is 16 hours (160hours if the backlight is turned off)
- it has Wi-Fi, 3G and bluetooth capabilities
- it has an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, AGPS (assisted global positioning system), proximity sensor, accelerometer, and a touchpad.
- it supports multi-tasking and Adobe Flash Player 10.1
- it has an SD card slot
- it costs only $327
